So there’s this
boy and this girl. And one is born
somewhere, and the other is born somewhere else. They are fated to be together. But one of them learns computers, and the
other one learns medicine.
Then they meet,
and greet, and get married. And then at
the start of the day, they go their separate ways. One goes to the computer office, and sits
there for 8 hours a day. One goes to the
hospital and does something, I must say, I have no clue about what happens in a
hospital.
Then at the end of
the day, they meet again, and say “Hi”, and they’re too exhausted to say
anything else. So they buy food from a
takeaway or a delivery, and they eat it, and that is the end of their day.
Next day, same thing. Except it gets more intense. The doctor guy has to be on call, so he’s
not even home, at the end of the day.
She comes back and she’s all alone.
DOesn’t make much difference, anyway.
She says “Hi” to the cat, and the rest is the same.
Oh my! What a tale!
No really, it’s
based on facts….
And this is all in
an arranged marriage, where the parents have pondered and thought and searched
and done all they could.
Well, try this –
anyway it’s the parents who choose – they look at the family background, and
the siblings and the history and everything they can look at…. They search and
search and ask around… and then they decide.
Then they present the boy to the girl and ask, “What do you think?”
So, why not try
this – The parents do everything they do already, except with this one change –
they do it at the beginning of the day, I mean, at the beginning of the child’s
life. The family background, etc. of the
other remains the same, mostly. So the
parents on both sides can look and decide, and then they can grow their
children, while training each in the same field. So the girl is trained in computers, and so
is the boy.
Then when they are
about 15, they are presented to each other, and asked “What do you think?” And one will say “No”. So the parents will shake their heads wisely
and say no more. But somehow the
families will stay in touch, meet for meals, if they are in the city, or write
letter and meet for the holidays, and hint, “Hey! What do you think of …?” And the girl might consider, and think… God
alone knows what… This is a new scenario.
So if it still
doesn’t work out, then the families might look around and try other options.
The point ? Well, hopefully the boy and the girl will be
in a position to stay somewhere around each other all day. Maybe work in the same office, hopefully.
So they start
their day, in the revised scenario, and they both go the same way. Probably adjacent desks. And in the same team.
And to help them
along, the company introduces the concept of a “team-employee” where two (or
more) persons are considered part of a team, and the team is employed, with one
main employeeID, with a subID. For example,
946-01 and 946-02.
Then the “team-employee”
is treated as a single unit. Assigned to
the same project, having a common deliverable, and they work together, side by
side.
Then, at the end
of the day, they go back the same way, and reach the home and they say “Oh my
God, I’ve been around you all day. Been
dyin’ to get closer…” And that is the
end of that day…..!
Voila!
